Educators make up a critical part of our society’s backbone. Today, they face more pressure than ever before.
StaffRoom Wellness addresses these challenges by offering educators a new narrative that challenges conventional ideas of the educator as an endless supply of energy and self-sacrifice. Educators are generous, dynamic and creative. They also have their own needs to be met in order to be able to feel fulfilled. Our contributors are all trained educators or have worked extensively with educators and offer powerful tools for greater self-connection, rejuvenation and optimism.
When educators are healthy, happy and supported, these benefits will transfer into the lives of our children and the greater community.
Our Team & Contributors
Christopher Lawley is an agent of transformative change in educators’ lives. Through courses, group facilitation and one-on-one coaching, Christopher empowers educators to unlock their fullest potential so they can live in alignment with their truest selves and highest values.
Dana Chapman was a classroom teacher for 13 years. When some health issues arose, Dana began exploring holistic modalities and became qualified as a Yoga Teacher, Holistic Nutritionist, and Yoga Therapist. The unexpected and profound impact her personal work had on the space she shared with children lead Dana to develop workshops for educators exploring the impact of an educator’s mindfulness practice on the classroom environment.
Dr. Kathleen Regan maintains a naturopathic family practice with a special interest in family medicine, prenatal, pregnancy and pediatric care. She believes that health begins with how and what we eat and uses her experience with nutrition to help patients create medicinal nutrition programs and healthy habits one step at a time. Kathleen also takes a hands-on approach to health concerns by integrating Acupuncture, Cranial Sacral techniques, guided visualization and breathing exercises.
